Our facility caters for risks that standard online markets are unable to accept due to height, depth, premises or geographical limits. It may also be a trade that is difficult to ‘pigeon hole’ on a quote system or a trade that is not normally accepted. The wording/exclusions of standard markets may also be too restrictive for the risk in question.
We rate risks with 10 manual workers or less on a per capita basis and we endevour to turn around quotations and documentation the same day or at worst the following day.
Risks outside this are rated on a wages and turnover basis upon submission of a full presentation.
Contractors All Risks, Owned & Hired in Plant
CAR insurance, sometimes referred to as contract works insurance, provides comprehensive cover for construction, buildings and civil engineering projects. Due to the complex nature of contract works, this policy is designed to provide cover for any damage that occurs during the construction process.
Available on a single risk or annual basis, our policy can be arranged in the name of the contractor, the principal or joint names depending on the project requirement
We also cater for the specific requirements of customers ranging from builders, ground workers and plant hirers to civil engineering contractors and businesses who own or hire in plant and equipment. Cover is provided for damage to contractors’ plant which you own or hire in.
Excess of Loss
Excess of Loss insurance provides a business with additional cover above their primary liability policy, providing protection from major incidents that could erode their primary insurance. When the primary insurer may not be able to provide the limit of indemnity required, either through lack of available capacity or appetite, we can top-up their cover to ensure the policyholder gets the protection they need.
Most trades are catered for with low minimum premiums to help with those smaller contractors who require a higher limit. Please see ‘Get a Quote’ for an indication of the premium.
